The International
Committee to Defend Slobodan Milosevic was founded on March 24th, 2001
during the 1st European Forum in Berlin.
The Irish Branch of
ICDSM held its inaugural meeting in Dublin in July 2001 following the
illegal kidnapping of Mr. Milosevic from his homeland and his deliverance
to the Hague showtrials.
ICDSM has members
in more than 20 countries worldwide. The goals and activities of ICDSM
are being supporteed by over 1300 personalities from more than 30 countries.
The ICDSM has addressed
appeals to the President of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Dr. Vojislav
Kostunica, and to the President of the Government of Serbia, Dr. Zoran
Djindic, for the release of Mr. Slobodan Milosevic in accordance with
the provisions of Yugoslav and Serbian law and the ruling of the Yugoslav
Constitutional Court.
The ICDSM condemns
the unconstitutional and illegal abduction of President Milosevic and
his delivery to the Hague "tribunal" as an attack on Yugoslav
sovereignty carried out by the USA, NATO and their Serbian puppets. The
ICDSM demands the immediate release of President Milosevic from his illegal
detention in the Hague and the abolition of the illegitimate so-called
"International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia" as an
extension of NATO and a tool used against the resistance of freedom fighters
and patriots.
